Water Treatment Plant (WTP)
We value the quality of our water. Our factory uses huge amount of water in crab processing. To ensure that the water we use is clean and safe, our factory is equipped with its own Water Treatment Plant.
Rainwater Pond Reserve. Water is mainly sourced from our own Rainwater Pond Reserve (surface water) to reduce pressure on ground water. As the location of farms and factory is a very salty place, supply of freshwater is very limited. Thus, we made it a mission to collect rainwater from the roofs of our factory down to our rainwater pond reserve.
Reverse Osmosis. Water passes through series of filtration and purification through Reverse Osmosis (RO). RO is a purification technique used for drinking waters, in which water passes through a semipermeable membrane. The membrane prevents passage of larger molecules, like salts and other impurities. It is a very effective method to purify and desalinate our water.
UV Water Filter. After the RO purification, water further passes through UV Water Filters. The UV water disinfection process utilizes UV lamps to effectively kill microorganisms and water pathogens. UV water filters are used prior to entry of water in our factory. As additional safeguard, more UV water filters are also installed in some sections of the factory where use of clean water is very critical (i.e., flake ice machine, glazing, final washing).
Laboratory Testing. For our peace of mind, we also test our waters in our own laboratory twice a month. This is to ensure that our water is 100% safe and within industry standards.
